Biography

Partner Christopher A. Sica focuses his practice on protecting the rights of those who are injured. This includes Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Workers’ Compensation and Malpractice cases. He has tried numerous cases to verdict, securing victories for his clients.

His inclusion on the 2026 Super Lawyers list marks the ninth consecutive year he has been honored in the Personal Injury General: Plaintiff category. He also has been selected to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100.

Among other honors, Attorney Sica won a 2023 New Leaders in the Law Award as part of the New England Legal Awards, an award presented to highly accomplished attorneys who are younger than 40.

Additionally, Attorney Sica is a presenter for the continuing legal education series of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, most recently speaking at the Autopalooza seminar at Mohegan Sun casino.

• $1 million recovery in only 7 months for an elderly women involved in a car crash. The Plaintiff’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a vehicle turning left from a private road. The injuries included a dominant right hand fracture requiring hardware placement, sternal fractures, a concussion, and significant emotional distress, which left Plaintiff in a nursing home for approximately one month and requiring therapy to regain independent living.
• $300,000 full policy limit recovery for a women injured in a dog-bite to the hand requiring extensive rabies vaccinations,
• $300,000 full policy limit recovery for a women injured in a car crash who sustained lacerations to her body and head, an eye injury, and a hip injury requiring surgery.
• $250,000 full policy limit recovery for a woman injured in a head-on crash who sustained injuries to the neck and back, and had post concussive syndrome with associated headaches.
• $2.17 Million recovery in a complex product liability case involving chemical exposure over multiple decades and a Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma diagnosis.
• $1 Million+ recovery for a local police officer injured in a snowplow crash, requiring surgery and forcing an early retirement.
• $650,0000 for a man injured in a car crash involving back and shoulder injuries for which surgeries may be required in the future.
• $567,000 in a medical malpractice case stemming from urgent care negligence, resulting in a partial finger amputation.
• $500,000 for a woman who suffered a significant arm fracture and neck and back injuries.
• $280,000 for a young woman who sustained a permanent mid-back injury from a car crash.

Other Representative Outcomes

• $912,500 for a father and son struck by a vehicle at a car show. They sustained minimal physical injuries but suffered substantial emotional distress.

• $833,000 resolution for a truck driver injured in a highway crash who suffered broken ribs, a fractured shoulder, and missed an extensive amount of work.
• $800,000 recovery on the eve of trial for a lineman who was struck in the head with a metal fence post, suffered neck and arm injuries, and was unable to work overtime.
• $750,000 settlement in a motor vehicle collision. Client required a cervical fusion surgery. Liability was initially contested but ultimately fully conceded.
• $620,000 recovery against a prominent trucking and delivery company for a tractor-trailer vs. pick-up truck crash on I-91 in which 3 plaintiffs – a grandfather, grandmother, and grandson – suffered severe emotional distress and soft tissue injuries, with the grandfather potentially needing shoulder and back surgery in future.
• $600,000 resolution in a case involving the construction site of a luxury high-rise residential apartment building. Our client was injured on the loading dock when he fell over a roll of hallway corridor carpeting. He underwent a cervical fusion procedure and sustained lost wages. It took significant discovery and depositions of key witnesses to establish liability on the part of the owner and carpet contractor, as there was no report or surveillance to document the incident.
• $500,000 recovery for a 32-year-old woman struck by a box truck owned by a major distribution company. The crash occurred in traffic on I-84. Our client sustained a back injury and faced future surgery to her lower back.
